Is the wood original Winchester upgrade, of what style, is it a Bishop/Fajen etc Winchester lookalike upgrade, or some other non original looking custom wood. Hope to hear from someone else on the forum on that issue. I have never heard of a Winchester barrel being marked as Polychoke, that is definitely interesting. Sounds like someone bought the gun and had it worked over with new wood added and the bolt jeweled, etc. If the wood is as nice as you say it is you could make a profit buying it and selling the wood, as the wood should fit a Model 12 if I am not mistaken.
